I’m a freelance writer and editor based in metro Detroit. I write and edit various content for print and electronic media, including magazine features, news articles, books, blog posts, profiles, and Q&As. My writing has been published in The Guardian, Outside, Harvard Public Health, HuffPost, Sierra, Audubon, Runner’s World, Women’s Running, espnW, Well+Good, EatingWell, Insider, Crain’s Detroit Business, Planet Detroit, and other publications.

I write and edit for the Erb Institute at the University of Michigan, as well as for some nonprofit organizations. I have edited books for a university press and a nonprofit organization.

I’ve spent most of my career as a writer/editor at associations and other nonprofits, and my most recent full-time position was Director of Publications at the American Association for Justice, as well as Editor of its flagship magazine, Trial. I have won awards for my writing on legal and environmental topics.
